Situated in one of the busiest shopping arcades in Hong Kong, a sunlight filled, sophisticated yet calming wooden pavilion is the new home for internationally acclaimed boutique coffee brand Omotesando Koffee, designed by Studio Adjective.

To pay tribute to the brand, the iconic coffee bar is placed in the centre of the space, with our reinterpretation of frame design combining black coated steel with a layer of stained oak. The bar is composed with oak and warm textural stone, and forming a backdrop for the coffee bar. The space is sheltered by slanted wood panels that capture the natural light and reflect into the space. The ceiling grids extended to the façade and forming the pendant signages.

The space is designed with multiple seating experience. A U-shaped high table sitting encouraging interactions with the baristas, designed with tailor-made swirl stools. Standing benches are placed in between the main aisle and window. Customers can sit on both sides, enjoying the bustling street outside or focusing the barista’s performance. An intimate lounge area is set at the back for causal business meetings, with tailor-designed lounge chair and coffee table.
