Studio Adjective is honoured to present ourselves as this designer of Louis Vuitton’s “Vanity Mahjong” set for the LV’s mahjong trunk in 2021. This bespoke mahjong design is embedded upon the concept of architectural form and the thorough use of LV’s Monogram 4-petals flower motif throughout the holistic design.

Studio Adjective zoomed out to a macro perspective and infused the product design of mahjong with an architectural concept based on mahjong’s stackable property. Our designer has pioneered the concept of “Table Architecture” and designed a set of mahjong that is profoundly inspired by geometrical and architectural elements on its aesthetic appearance.

The design highlights and reinforces the significance of the LV’s timeless flower motif from its Monogram pattern throughout the whole set of mahjong. The extravagant details shown in the use of ivory composite stone, American walnut wood and fine brass in the tiles, wooden bars and the Wind indicator are to reveal its irresistible charm of the brand. The deluxe design works in concert with the LV’s classic trunks and cases, performs as an echoing design, and pays tribute to the century-old art masterpiece.
