The second collaboration between Omotesando Koffee and Studio Adjective is located in Salcedo, Manila City. Composed with dark wood in contrast with warm plaster and cement, the design intended to combine the brand’s minimalist expression and sophistication with an intimate and relaxed atmosphere for coffee enthusiasts.

 

The layout design is geometrical, maintaining a well-defined zoning and circulation inside the café. The signature coffee kiosk - a frame structure in solid wood is placed in the centre of the space, highlighted with grey marble top and lit up with an artificial skylight on the ceiling. Customers can enjoy the barista’s coffee making process along the surrounding aisleway. Seating areas are offset from the aisles with an array of wood columns and wooden latticework, which customers can still enjoy the movements at the coffee kiosk with more privacy.

 

The furniture is tailor designed and made with local timber by Lamana, including the Ishinomaki Laboratory’s Tripodal Stools, which are also designed by Studio Adjective.
